Malnourished children to get special diet in 60 priority districts

The government on Thursday announced that a special diet will be provided to malnourished children in all the 60 priority districts under the Sneha Shivir scheme at a cost of Rs 150 crore during the 12th Plan period.

Budget 2013: Integrated Child Development's funds enhanced by 11.7 %

The Women and Child Development ministry's Integrated Child Development Scheme (ICDS) has been allocated Rs 17,700 crore in the budget for the year 2013-14 which is an 11.7 percent increase over the fund alloted in the previous year.
