Former deputy CM and leader of opposition People`s Democratic Party Muzaffar Hussain Baig Wednesday, in a move meant to embarrass the government, submitted his resignation from the state legislative assembly to the Speaker.

Opposition People`s Democratic Party said Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah should not have allowed execution of Parliament attack convict Afzal Guru due to its adverse impact in Valley.

Discounting the possibility of the scrapping of Article 370 which grants special status to Jammu and Kashmir, PDP said the scheme of the Indian Constitution itself was a safeguard against any such attempt.
