Accepting the demand of private bus operators, Himachal Pradesh government has decided to increase the fares by 30 percent while the minimum fare for local buses would go up from Rs 2 to Rs 5.

The last time bus fares were hiked was on April 3 last year when the minimum charge went up by 50 paise to Rs 4.
