Rs 1 crore award for shooter Rahi Sarnobat

The Maharashtra government on Thursday announced cash award of Rs 1 crore to markswoman Rahi Sarnobat, who became the first pistol shooter from India to win a gold medal in the ISSF (International Shooting Sport Federation) World Cup, held in South Korea.

Young markswoman Rahi Sarnobat, who created history recently in South Korea by becoming the first male or female pistol shooter from India to win a gold medal in an ISSF World Cup, said on Thursday that she generally does well in finals and rapid fire was her pet event.
