ArthVeda launches Rs 2000-cr fund for low income housing

"The Rs 2,000 crore fund will participate with multiple developers across India, including tier 2 and 3 cities, in the construction of affordable housing for low income households," the company said in a statement here.

In a bid to promote housing for low income groups in major cities, Reserve Bank on Friday directed urban cooperative banks to double the limit for home loans to Rs 10 lakh for consideration under priority sector lending.
