Spices Board India to go global through retail outlets

The Board said it has also decided to provide financial aid to farmers for irrigation, land development, mechanisation, replanting, soil conservation and organic farming of various spices, mainly small cardamom.

In 2014-15, chilli, cumin, turmeric, coriander and ginger accounted for more than 70 percent of the total volume of spice export whereas mint, chilli, spice oils & oleoresins, cumin and pepper accounted for around 70 percent of the total export earnings.
