Ahmedabad: Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday met RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat here.
"Modi paid a courtesy call and met Bhagwat at the RSS headquarters in Maninagar," RSS sources said.
Bhagwat was visiting the city today.
RSS's backing is believed to have been instrumental in Modi's nomination as BJP's prime ministerial candidate.
The meeting lasted for more than 40 minutes, sources said.
