Coimbatore: Tamil Nadu CPI Secretary D Pandian today appealed the voters to support the left parties and help it stop formation of a wrong government at the Centre.

Pandian, addressing an election rally in this textile hub where CPM candidate, sitting MP, P R Natarajan is seeking re-election told the gathering that the coming Lok Sabha election was crucial for the nation for freeing it from corrupt politicians and communal forces coming to power.

Pandian asked the party workers to go the people and tell them why the next government was important to the Country and its economy, as some foreign companies wanted to have a friendly government to exploit and loot the nation's natural wealth.

The two left parties, CPI and CPM have been contesting 18 seats together, after snapping poll truck with the ruling AIADMK, which rejected their offer for more seats.

Natarajan, in his address said, if relected, he will work for the betterment of MSMEs, the mainstay of the economy of the city, an industrial hub, with large number of working class. He also assured to complete the unfinished works during his current term.
