Justice Bist appointed as acting CJ of Uttarakhand HC

Nainital: Justice VK Bist has been appointed as the acting Chief Justice of the Uttarakhand High Court, officials said on Thursday.

Government of India issued a gazette notification in regard to the matter of the appointment after Justice Barin Ghosh retired as the Chief Justice yesterday, Uttarakhand High Court Registrar, Judicial Narendra Dutt said.

Uttarakhand High Court has a total of nine posts for judges and four of them have fallen vacant after Justice Ghosh's retirement.
