The self-anointed “Special One” is reportedly the best paid football manager in the world drawing £10million in wages per year at the 2011-12 La Liga champions Real Madrid.

The 49-year-old Portugese has managed top clubs of the world that include the likes of Chelsea, Inter Milan, Porto and currently Spanish giant Real Madrid.

Mourinho, who was the winner of the inaugural FIFA World Coach of the Year for Men`s Football in 2010 led Real to a record 32 La Liga title along with numerous records that included amassing 100 points in a single season.

He is famous for both his managerial skills as well as for being a magnet to controversies. Recently, a ban on him was lifted for poking Barcelona counterpart Tito Vilanova in the eye last year.

Roberto Mancini

Reported Salary: £7.5million/year

The winner of 2011-12 English Premier League title has reportedly become the second highest paid manager in the world after being offered a lucrative five-year deal at Etihad.

The 47-year-old Italian won a hat-trick of Serie A titles during his managerial stint with Intern Milan (2006, 2007 and 2008) and moved to Premier League club Manchester City in 2009 and lead the club to their highest ever League finish.

The riches of the club meant that he could spend freely during summer transfer window (2010) buying top players from around the globe.

His bust-up with Carlos Tevez during a Champions League fixture against Bayern Munich in 2011 created much headlines.

He was reportedly on the radars of Russian FA for the job of manager that went ultimately went to his fellow countryman Fabio Capello.

Guus Hiddink

Club: Anzhi Makhachkala

Reported Salary: £6million/year

Guss Hiddink signed with Russian club Anzhi Makhachkala in February after Yury Krasnozhan resigned less than two months in charge at the club.

The 65-year-old has managed the Dutch, Australian, Russian and South Korean national team in the past with fair success. In 2002 under his guidance South Korea became the first Asian team to reach the last four in FIFA world cup.

As a caretaker, he led Chelsea to FA Cup triumph after Luiz Felipe Scolari was sacked for poor results at the fag end of the 2009-10 Premier League season. He also had an unsuccessful stint with the Turkish team where he was sacked after they failed to qualify for the 2012 Euro.

He has signed a contract of 18 months with the Russian club Anzhi

His side of 2003-04 season were termed as “Invincibles” following their unbeaten run in the Premier League.

Under his reign, the Gunners have landed three Premier Leagues, four FA Cups and a Champions League final appearance. They, however, haven’t won a silverware since 2005.

Carlo Ancelotti

Carlo Ancelotti was appointed the manager of French football club Paris Saint-Germain late in 2011 after Antoine Kombouare left the post on the same day.

The Italian has managed clubs like Juventus, AC Milan and Chelsea. He ended Milan`s trophyless-run winning the Serie A title in 2003-04 and also guided them to a Champions League title twice in 2002-03 and 2006-07.

He was appointed as the manager of Chelsea in 2010 and in his first season won the club their first ever cup Double. His failure to land the Champions League title led to his sacking in June 2011.

Later that year in December he joined Ligue1`s PSG and the club finished second behind Montpellier HSC.
