Chris Gayle

The dashing left-hander from Jamaica has swiftly climbed the batting charts in the fifth edition of Indian Premier League. He has been a revelation at Royal Challengers Bangalore since moving from Kolkata Knight Riders. Gayle has so far accumulated 733 runs in 14 innings at an average of 61.08. His highest of IPL 5 is 128*.

Morne Morkel

The lanky speedster from South Africa was bought by Delhi Daredevils in the IPL 2012 auction. He has carried international form in IPL claiming 25 wickets in 16 matches at 18.12. In 63 overs he has given away 453 runs.

Gautam Gambhir

Gautam Gambhir has been one of the key performers of the IPL 5 as a result of which Kolkata Knight Riders have put up a consistent show. Not just his batting but his captaincy has also come under praise. The southpaw has so far scored 588 runs in 16 innings at 39.20.

Sunil Narine

The West Indian has been a mystery bowler, someone who has time and again in the current season provided the Kolkata Knight Riders the crucial edge over opponents and played an important role in guiding them to their first ever IPL final. The right arm spinner has taken 24 wickets in 14 matches at an average of 11.95. He has bowled 55.1 overs and given away 287 runs.

Shikhar Dhawan

In an otherwise disappointed campaign for Deccan Chargers, their opening batsman Shikhar Dhawan has been one of the few positives for them to take from the current season of IPL. The left hander struck five fifties while scoring 569 runs in 15 innings. His average for the season was 40.64 and he hit 64 boundaries and 17 sixes.

Lasith Malinga

The slinger from Emerald Isle has been a vital cog in Mumbai Indians squad and has caused much trouble to the batsmen with his stinging yorkers. Malinga has bowled 51.3 overs and taken 22 wickets in 13 matches at an average of 14.04. He has given away 309 runs.
