Q SIR..Is it worth doing MBBS from Ukrain if one fails to crack entrance exam in India? Can you guide us on the status of Doc who are practising in India after doing MBBS overseas.

A Dear Student... It is possible to do and MBBS in Ukraine. However, if you do want to practice in India it would make the most sense to complete your education in India itself. There are people who have studied MBBS abroad and come back to India to practice if you take conversion examinations upon returning.

Q SIR..Hello, I have just completed my BE in Information Technology from Mumbai University and now want to pursue Masters in the same field. I have already applied in some Australian Universities for their Masters Course in IT and CS both. But one of my friend who is doing Phd in Finland suggested me that i should prefer doing MS in Finland, Sweden or Germany as their teaching method and quality of education is better than that in Australia plus the overall cost of the studies is much less than that in Australia. I am very much confused about which country i must give preference to, keeping in mind that if i choose to work their after completion of my course. I am not considering MS in US because of the current situation of our economy. Please help me out.

A Dear Student... Hi Uddhav, Australia does have some very good courses in this field. However, I do think it would be a good option to consider Germany as well given the cost and the quality of education. You can also consider Singapore, Hong Kong, and Netherlands that have some good courses. Finland and Sweden are still not as well known for their education as some of the other companies. If you are looking to work abroad, the situation in Europe is difficult as to get a full-time job, you will be required to know the language of that country almost fluently.

Q SIR..My son is in habit of frequently skipping his studies . He has god gifted nature of learning by heart even long answers when he is calm and studious, but I want him to be more focused. Please help.

A Dear Student... You have mentioned that he is capable of rote learning, but, from what you say, he seems somewhat uninterested. It is more than possible that he does not see the point in learning stuff by heart and is bored. I suggest that you help him to: 1. get the key concepts and 2. guide him in to apply these in everyday life or in world situations. When children see the connection between what they are learning, and the relevance to it in various aspects of life, they immediately become more interested. Do you also encourage him to foster his other talents? There must be a balance. The old adage remain true: ‘All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy’.

Q SIR..Having seen the increasing popularity of international curriculum, where does Indian curricula like CBSE stand and what`s its future in terms of its qualitative sustainability in India?

A Dear Student... The CBSE is an exam which caters to all national level exams. It is also constantly evolving. It is clear that those who are driving the syllabus are keeping a sharp eye on the international curricula while catering to a large section of Indian students and our country’s specific needs. In my opinion, it is eminently sustainable.
