Nicki Minaj's dancer bitten by snake during rehearsal

New York: One of Nicki Minaj`s dancers was bitten by a snake and rushed to the hospital during a rehearsal for her Video Music Awards performance.

The six-foot-long snake bit the dancer during a rehearsal of a song which she will perform at the MTV Video Music Awards, reported the New York Daily News.

The snake was a Boa constrictor, according to the Los Angeles County fire department.

The dancer was taken to a hospital in case she was infected after the reptile chomped on her during a run-through performance of Minaj?s new hit `Anaconda`.

"It was just to make sure she was okay," Captain Rory Brunner of the fire department said and added that the snake scare `was not that big of a deal` because it was not venomous.
