New Delhi: Riding high on the super success of his latest release, `Singham Returns`, action hero Ajay Devgn couldn`t have asked for more. The actor, who has established himself as a brand in past few years, has always been seen as this `intense-looking` man who can kill the bad boys, at the drop of a hat.
However, the latest bit of news can actually shock the Devgn fans. According to reports, ace filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali`s magnum opus `Bajirao Mastani` was initially offered to Ajay Devgn. Yes, you heard it right! The `Singham` man was first offered to play the Maratha warrior instead of Ranveer Singh.
Reports further claim that it was due to non-settlement between the actor and director regarding the terms and conditions, that Ajay opted of SLB`s film. It was earlier reported that SLB wanted flat 200 days from the actor to shoot the big budget movie, which of course the latter denied.
The film now has SLB`s hit `Ram-Leela` jodi back together—Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone in the lead roles. Will Ranveer and Deepika succeed as Bajorao and Mastani? Let`s wait and watch.
