Washington: Dame Helen Mirren followed in the footsteps of controversial star Miley Cyrus and resorted to " twerking " as she was being honoured with Harvard University`s Hasty Pudding award.
The veteran actress bent over and shaked her butt for the crowd while she was being paraded around the streets of Cambridge, Mass., People Magazine reported.
`The Queen` star said that she had tried doing the erotic dance in her bedroom and it was absolutely humiliating.
The award, presented annually, is given to performers who have made a lasting and impressive contribution to entertainment.
