Mumbai: We have seen older men romancing women almost half their age onscreen, but here’s one young girl who seems to have reservations with this practice.
Just one film old Shraddha Kapoor had irked John Abraham. She has apparently been telling people that she has declined ‘Welcome Back’ because she is least interested in working with older heroes, the DNA reported.
And this has landed her brother, Siddhant in trouble. The young actor had shared screen space with John in ‘Shootout at Wadala’ and was hopeful of doing more films with the hunk. But now that his sister has allegedly spoken unpleasant things about John, Siddhant is really worried.
Talking to DNA, a source said, “Since the last 24 hours, Siddhant has made dozens of calls to John, which he has ignored. He cannot understand why an actress who is one-hit-old is making a big deal about not working with ‘older heroes’. And who is she to turn down a film with John? And if Shraddha doesn’t want to work with actors in their 40s, why her manager has been calling for her to audition for Gabbar, opposite Akshay Kumar? She has managed to tick off all the top actors. Earlier, she tom-tommed about rejecting a film opposite Abhishek Bachchan. There is no dearth of heroines for these top actors. She can work with Varun Dhawan, Siddharth Malhotra and Arjun Kapoor but how long will she last in the industry with this attitude?”
However, Siddhant has refuted the news.
Whether or not Shraddha said something against John, it is never a good idea to shoot yourself in the foot. Are we right Shraddha?
