Model-turned-actor Arjun Rampal is surely a hit with the women, but despite being one of the most successful models, he had to struggle a lot during the initial days of his Bollywood career.
Arjun was spotted in a Delhi discotheque by fashion designer ‘Rohit Bal’. He was then a student of Hindu College, Delhi. Since then, Arjun became Rohit`s protégé and the designer helped him become one of India`s most sought-after male supermodels.
Arjun’s debut movie ‘Moksha’ released in 2001. However, this film hit the screens after the release of his second film, ‘Pyaar Ishq Aur Mohabbat’. Although, both the films fared drastically at the ‘Box Office’, Arjun’s performance in both was lauded by critics.
After this, Arjun happened to be a part of a series of flops such as ‘Aankhen’, ‘Dil Hai Tumhaara’, ‘Yakeen’ and more. He finally got his share of recognition as an actor, with the release of Shah Rukh Khan starrer ‘Don’. Arjun also tried his hand on production by turning producer for the movie ‘I See You’, which again failed to do well at the Box Office.
Nevertheless, Arjun’s next release ‘Om Shanti Om’, which had him playing a negative role, became the biggest grosser of Indian cinema till date.
So, one of the most good-looking actors in Bollywood, Arjun, has finally got his share of career hits like ‘Rock ON’, ‘Don’ ‘Om Shanty Om’, ‘Housefull’ and the latest blockbuster ‘Rajneeti’. Arjun’s upcoming releases are among the most-awaited films of 2011 - ‘Don 2’ and ‘RA 1’, both again with ‘Shah Rukh Khan’.
