Victoria Beckham was a member of ‘Spice Girls’, the British pop super-group of the 1990s. Victoria’s known as "Posh Spice," the elegantly haughty member of the ensemble. She got married to Football (Soccer) superstar David Beckham in July 1999. The two soon became one of most celebrated couples in Britain.
Victoria Caroline Adams was born to Anthony and Jacqueline Adams and was raised in Goffs Oak, Hertfordshire. Victoria’s father was a super-rich man and that was the reason she got a very wealthy upbringing.
In 1994, Victoria joined the all-girls group – ‘Spice Girls’, and in 1996, the group`s first single, "Wannabe", became Number 1 in the UK and US, and other 29 countries. It was followed by nine further Number 1 singles from their albums ‘Spice’, ‘Spice World’ and ‘Forever’. The group was one of the most successful pop acts of the 1990s, selling over fifty-five million records worldwide.
After the Spice Girls split up, Victoria pursued her own solo career but the move was not as smart as excepted, for he career wasn’t that successful as one would expect. Nevertheless, some of the hits of her solo career were "Out of Your Mind" and "Not Such An Innocent Girl".
Apart from her singing career, Victoria has also published an autobiography called ‘Learning to Fly’, which became the third best-selling non-fiction of 2001. Beckham`s second book, a fashion advice guide, entitled ‘That Extra Half an Inch: Hair, Heels and Everything In Between’, was also a huge success.
Beckham has shot five official documentaries. She has also done a cameo appearance as herself in an episode of TV series Ugly Betty. In February 2008, Beckham was the guest judge for the finale of fourth season of Project Runway.
