Mumbai: Actors Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Femina Miss India International 2011, Ankita Shorey walked the ramp for Troy Costa and Rocky S respectively on the day two of Lakme Fashion Week Winter/Festive 2013.
Costa`s collection, called `The London Eye`, was partly inspired by British painter Mark Gertler`s painting called `Merry Go Round`.
The collection showcased bright coloured jackets worn with wildly printed shirts, zippered shirts, slim-fit jackets, as well as retro suits which created a style statement.
Accessories added to the collection`s style. Scarves, bags, folders, ultra-light clutches were ideal for the jet-setting corporate head-honcho.
Colours were revitalised with Monaco blue being a favourite, along with grey, poppy red, orange and yellow, while the fabrics were linen and classic suitings.
Nawazuddin, known for his performance in films like `Kahani`, `Talaash`, `Gangs of Wasseypur` and `Bombay Talkies`, looked dapper as he walked down the ramp to close the show in a tuxedo with a printed velvet bow-tie.
Rocky S unveiled his ultra-glam `Rocky Star` collection marking the end of day two at the fashion week. The designer`s noir collection of black has turned into his signature offering at fashion weeks.
But, he moved gradually from black to dull gold, grey and shimmering silver, keeping the top half of the outfits in black seductive lace or net.
He displayed shimmering black dresses long and short, one-shoulder dress, mermaid shape gowns, skirts, long tubes with beaded tassel top.
Showstopper Ankita Shorey sashayed in a sensational fishtail lace gown that left the audience awestruck.
