London: They may be Hollywood royalty but Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have been snubbed by the owners of French wineries who have turned down the American couple`s attempts to buy them out.

The couple better known as `Brangelina` now plan to leave their luxurious Chateau Miraval estate in the South of France because they can`t get their hands on anyone of the
nearby wineries, reported Daily Mail online.

Pitt, a wine enthusiast, has failed to persuade three wineries in the region to sell up to him.

"When Brad and Angelina moved into Miraval, they signed a lease and it expires next summer. He hoped that they would be able to buy its organic winery but it is not for sale. So they’re planning to move on," said a source.

Pitt had earlier enrolled himself in wine-making classes to prepare himself for the role of a winery owner. The `Fight Club` actor and Jolie stayed at the sprawling estate in the south of France with their six children.
