Churan Karela

This is a traditional recipe made by filling bitter gourd with tangy home made masala churan.

Ingredients:

300gms Bitter guard
1 gm Chat masala
3 ml Lemon Juice
10 ml Oil
02 gms Gram Masala
02 gm Coriander chopped
02 gm Cumin seeds
01 gm Green chilli
02 gm Salt
30 gm Tomato
02 gm Red chilli powder
25 gm Onion
2 gm Raw mango powder
1 gm Black Salt
2 gm Dry Pomegranate seeds
1 gm Turmeric
1 gm Sounf Powder

For churan

1 gm Raw mango powder
1 gm Black salt
1 gm Chaat masala
1 gm Dry pomegranate seeds powder
1 gm Red chilly powder
1 gm Cumin powder
1 gm Fennel powder

Procedure:

Dice the bitter guard and rub it with salt and keep it aside for 2 hours.
Wash and rinse them, fry them till tender.
Heat oil , add cumin seeds to it . Once start crackling, add chopped onions to it . Once pink add tomatoes to it.
Add fried bitter guard dices to it and cook them for 5 minutes .
Add all the spices and cook it for another five minutes. Once done add churan in the last,
At last add chopped coriander and lemon juice before serving
Serve hot.
