New York: For the first time, ‘Lord of the Rings’ star Elijah Wood hosted an eating contest – aptly titled Lord of the Wings.
The diminutive actor hosted the competition at Epstein`s Bar on the Lower East Side and stayed until 3 am to celebrate with the winners.
Overall champ was "Big Dan" Graff, a bartender at Max Fish.
"It was a fun night. I ate 14 wings in three minutes,” a news website quoted him as saying.
“Elijah was a good sport and a really sweet little guy. I`ll probably regret saying this, but he`s got the biggest blue eyes I`ve ever seen on a man,” he added.
