Orange Rasam recipe

Ingredients:

orange slices to garnish
2 cups orange juice,
1/4tsp corn flour
2tsp, toor dal,
1/4 tsp turmeric powder,
1/4 tsp crushed pepper corns,
2tsp Tamarind pulp,
2whole red chilies,
a pinch of asafoetida,
1/4 tsp mustard seeds,
2 sprigs of curry leaves,
1tbsp rasam powder,
1 tspsalt to taste,
Coriander leaves for garnishing

Procedure:

Blend the orange juice, toor dal, corn flour with turmeric powder in blender.

Mix this mixture with 2cups of water and boil with salt and rasam powder for 5 mins. Add 1tsp crushed peppercorns, Tamarind pulp, few curry leaves and cook for 2 minutes again.

Heat a non-stick pan, add, red chillies, asafoetida, and mustard seeds and curry leaves. When they change color pour over the rasam and mix. Add coriander leaves and serve hot with papar.

Decorate the rim of the glasses with orange slice.
