Mumbai: Connoisseurs worldwide will now have the opportunity to savour Indian vegetarian delights as the 60-year-old food-chain, Rajdhani Thali, plans to expand its footprint into south Asia and European markets by adding 100 more outlets in the next three-years.
The Gujarati food outlet, a part of the Mirah Group and run by Encore Hotels Pvt Ltd., is planning to open 100 outlets in Singapore, Hong Kong and London, besides India.
"We are on an expansion spree as the economy is in recovery mode. We will be opening around 100 outlets overseas. The investment will be around Rs 20-crore," Mirah Group`s Director, Gaurav Goenka, told reporters.
Presently, Rajdhani Thali has its presence in Dubai and Oman overseas, besides 45 outlets in 16 cities across seven states in India.
Its first outlet was opened in 1947 at Crawford Market in the city.
Goenka further said that the group also plans to open more outlets of its vegetarian Lebanese foodchain, Falafel, of
which there are eight outlets in Mumbai alone.
The company is targeting a turnover of Rs 35-crore this fiscal, he said, adding that "in the next three-years, we hope to be a Rs 100-crore entity."
The group also has 6 four-star hotels called Citrus in Lonavala, Goa, Pune, Mahabalipuram, Allepey and Chennai.
