Ingredients
250 gm fresh local okra
2tbsp sliced onion
1 tbsp sliced garlic
2 tbsp kokum soaked in water
2tbsp tamarind puree
3 nos slit green chillies
1tsp turmeric powder
1/2tsp cumin seeds
1tbsp vegetable oil
2nos dry red chillies
MethodsWash and dry the okra/lady fingers with a dry cloth. apply salt and keep aside
in a heavy bottom skillet heat some oil, add cuminseeds, turmeric powder followed by sliced onion, sliced garlic. let this simmer for a while, add the okra. cook till colour changes, add kokum and dried red chillies. season with salt, serve hot with rice/rotis. Serves two
