For Misal

2 cups moth beans sprouts
1 tsp mustard seeds
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
1 tsp red chili powder
1/2 tsp asafoetida
2 tsp garam masala,
1 tsp jaggery
5-6 curry leaves,
Salt to taste
Oil

For rassa

I big sized onions
3 tsp red chili powder
2 tsp garam masala,
2 tsp tamarind puree,
Salt to taste
Water.
Oil

For garnishing:
Farsaan (Chanachoor)
Sev
Roasted peanuts
1 small onion chopped finely

Procedure:

Heat some oil in a pan, add mustard seeds. When they splutter add some asafoetida, curry leaves, turmeric powder and red chili powder. Then add the sprouted beans and some water. Cook the mixture for a while and then add garam masala, jaggery and salt. Stir it well and cook for a few minutes.


Heat another pan and put some oil for preparing the rassa. Now add chopped onions and red chilli power. When the onion turns transparent, add 2 cups of water and cover it with a lid.

Cook this mixture until it boils. Now add garam masala, tamarind puree, salt and mix thoroughly.

Now, serve the sprouted beans mixture in a bowl. Now add the rassa and garnish it with some farsan and chopped onions.
