Recipe: Potato Casserole

Ingredients

9 medium potatoes sliced thin

3 1/2 cups milk

3 tsp butter

1 tsp asafetida

21/2 tsp salt

1 tsp black pepper

1/2 tsp turmeric

2 tsp coriander

4 ½ tsp white flour

1/2 cup cold milk


Procedure:

Parboil potatoes. Drain away water. Boil 3 1/2 cups milk, butter, asafetida, salt, black pepper, turmeric and coriander. Mix flour and cold milk separately. Whisk flour-milk mixture into boiling milk.. Stir until creamy. In a deep baking dish, lay half the potatoes slices. Cover with half the milk sauce. Add remaining potato slices. Cover with remaining milk sauce.. Bake until soft and brown
