A simple recipe that can be tried everyday at home without fearing about the calorie count or bothering to collect cumbersome ingredients.

Ingredients:

5 small sized potatoes (boiled and cut into halves)
1-cup curd
1-cup onion paste
2 tsp garlic paste
1 tsp ginger paste
2 green chillies
Puree of one tomato
2 tsp coriander powder
1 tsp turmeric powder
1 tsp cumin powder
½ tsp mustard seeds
1 pinch of asofotida
Salt to taste
2 bay leaves
¼ cup mustard oil

Procedures:

Heat oil in a pan. Put bay leaves, dashed chillies, asofotida, and mustard seeds when the oil becomes sufficiently hot. Sauté onions for a while. Now add salt, garlic, ginger paste and the rest of spices and cook till the mixture becomes brown. Pour tomato puree and stir till the mixture starts leaving the sides of the pan. Now add curd and potatoes and cook for ten minutes on medium flame. Serve hot with parantha or chapatti.
