Matzois a cracker like unleavened bread made of white plain flour and water.

The dough is pricked in several places and not allowed to rise before or during baking, thereby producing a hard, flat bread.

And Matzo brei means fried matzo in Yiddish. So try out this simple recipe.

Ingredients:

11/2 cup boiling water
3 matzos
4-5 eggs
1/2 teaspoon salt
Butter for frying

Procedure:

Pour hot water over matzos and drain immediately. Break softened matzo in pieces. Set softened matzos pieces aside.

In a large bowl, whisk eggs. Add salt. Stir in pieces of matzo.

In a skillet, heat butter. Pour egg-matzo batter into skillet and cook.
