Mumbai: Actor Ajay Devgn-starrer `Action Jackson` will hit cinema houses next year in April.
Directed by Prabhudeva, the action comedy stars Ajay Devgn, Sonakshi Sinha, Yami Gautam and a newcomer in the lead whose identity is being kept under the wraps.
The film is likely to release on April 11 next and may clash with Amitabh Bachchan`s `Bhoothnath Returns`.
While this is the first collaboration between Ajay and the choreographer-turned-director, Sonakshi has already worked with Prabhudheva in projects like `Rowdy Rathore`, `Oh My God`, `R...Rajkumar`.
Music for the film is composed by Himesh Reshammiya and action sequences are directed by Ravi Verman.
`Action Jackson` is being produced by Baba Films, who have been part of Devgn starrers like `Ishq` (1997) and `Pyar Toh Hona Hi Tha` (1998).
The film began its third shooting schedule with a song sequence for which a sprawling set has been constructed at a suburban studio in Mumbai. The shooting for a song is in full swing.
