Los Angeles: Actor Benedict Cumberbatch has dropped out of Guillermo Del Toro`s gothic horror picture `Crimson Peak`.
The movie is about a woman who discovers that her new husband is not who he claims to be, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Sources say Cumberbatch`s very recent exit is not due to scheduling conflicts with the Legendary Pictures production, which is slated to begin next February.
`The Star Trek: Into Darkness` thesp`s upcoming slate includes `12 Years A Slave`, `August: Osage County` and `The Fifth Estate`.
