John Travolta sorry about his Idina Menzel flub at Oscars

Los Angeles:John Travolta is upset about his embarrassing gaffe at the Oscars where he pronounced Idina Menzel as Adele Dazeem while introducing her at the 86th Academy Awards.

The `Pulp Fiction star, however, hopes that the Broadway star would forgive him for the mistake.

"I`ve been beating myself up all day. Then I thought... What would Idina Menzel say? She`d say, `Let it go, let it go!`" Travolta quipped, referencing the singer`s performance on the Oscar-winning song "Let It Go" from Disney`s `Frozen`.

"Idina is incredibly talented and I am so happy Frozen took home two Oscars Sunday night!," he added.

Travolta`s gaffe turned out to be one of the most memorable moments from the ceremony where he butchered Menzel`s name while calling her on the Oscar stage.

"Please welcome the wickedly talented, one and only Adele Dazeem," he had said.
