Melbourne: Kelsey Grammer has admitted that it wasn’t difficult for him to hold off getting intimate with his now-wife after they first met on a flight to London – because he hadn’t had sex for a decade.
The three-time divorced star cleared up a misconception that he and former stewardess Kayte Walsh spent the night together shortly after they met – while he was still married to now ex-wife Camille Grammer – during an appearance on the talk show “Conan” on Monday.
And he insisted that they didn`t consummate their love for several months after meeting.
“There have been a lot of postings (online) about me and my past and I usually don’t read them… (but) there was one comment I read… It said something about how Kayte and I met and then hooked up in London and that she’d spent the night with me,” the Daily Telegraph quoted him as saying.
“That’s not true. We kissed that night and that was it… and we we didn’t do anything much more than kiss actually for several months. I just wanted to clear that up.”
And when host Conan O’Brien suggested that must have been difficult for two people clearly in love, Grammer joked, “For a guy who hadn’t had sex for a decade, it wasn’t that hard.”
