Chennai: Model-turned-actress Pooja Hegde, who made her cinematic debut with Tamil action-drama `Mugamoodi`, is likely to romance Akkineni Naga Chaitanya in his upcoming yet-untitled Telugu film to be helmed by Vijay Kumar Konda.
"We have been looking for a fresh face and Pooja fits the bill. We have almost confirmed her, but are yet to make an official announcement. It is expected to happen anytime soon," Vijay Kumar said.
Pooja is a former Miss Universe India second runnerup.
"The film will be a romantic entertainer like my last film. We are expected to start shooting from November onwards," he added.
Konda rose to fame with a successful Telugu directorial debut `Gunde Jaari Gallanthayyinde`, which was one of the recent films to run for over 100 days at the box-office.
The untitled film will be produced by Akkineni Nagarjuna under his home banner Annapurna Studios.
