Bhagyashree Patwardhan

Hailing from the royal family of the Patwardhans in Maharashtra, Bhagyashree’s rendezvous with acting happened when renowned actor-director, Amol Palekar offered her to play lead role in tele-serial ‘Kachhi Dhoop’. However, Bhagyashree is best known for her girl-next door role in ‘Maine Pyar Kiya’ opposite Salman Khan. She was last seen in a special appearance as Akshay Kumar’s sister in ‘Humko Deewana kar gaye’, 2006. She is living a blissful married life with husband Himalaya Dasani.

Farah Naaz

Farah ruled the Box Office from the 1980 to the early 1990’s and worked with almost all super-hit actors of her time. Her best films include ‘Naseeb Apna Apna’, ‘Love 86’, ‘Baap Numbri Beta Dus Numbri’. Not many people know that the actress is the niece of legendary actress, Shabana Azmi and the elder sister of talented actress, Tabu.

Kimi Katkar

Light eyed beauty Kimi Katkar was a popular Bollywood actress during the mid 1980s to early1990s. Her career in Bollywood was short-lived but she played substantial roles. One of the most memorable roles she had essayed was of Jumma in the movie, ‘Hum’ opposite legendary actor, Amitabh Bachchan. Reportedly, she will be playing an actress in an upcoming film Mira Nair film, ‘Shantaram’ which includes Amitabh Bachchan and Hollywood actor, Johny Depp.

Mamta Kulkarni

Mamata Kulkarni started her Bollywood career on a promising note. She possessed all qualities to make it big in Bollywood and got an opportunity to work in super hits like ‘Karan Arjun’, ‘Krantiveer’, ‘Sabse Bada Khiladi’ and ‘Waqt Humara Hai’. But the actress soon lost her sheen and got involved in controversies by posing topless on the cover page of Stardust magazine in 1995 which led to the end of her career. She last appeared in 2002 film, ‘Divine Temple Khajuraho’.

Light-eyed beauty, Mandakini is still very much popular for her role in ‘Ram Teri Ganga Maili’ in which she put up a bold act. Her career was marred by controversies for her alleged relationship with underworld Don, Dawood Ibrahim.

Meenakshi Seshadri

The very talented and gorgeous looking, Meenakshi was the youngest woman to be crowned Miss India at the age of 17. From blockbuster, ‘Hero’ to the woman centric film, ‘Damini’, she proved her acting prowess and established herself as a powerful performer. ‘Ghatak’ was her last Bollywood film that released in 1997.

Nagma

Nagma rose to fame in Bollywood in the early 1990s. ‘Baaghi: A rebel for Love’ and ‘Suhaag’ are two of her biggest Bollywood blockbusters. She moved to south and established herself as one of the most sought after actresses and also did a number of Bhojpuri films. Now-a-days, she is active in politics and has been campaigning for Congress.

Padmini Kolhapure

Padmini Kolhapure ventured into Bollywood as child artist with ‘Satyam Shivam Sundaram’. She ruled Bollywood in late 1970s and 1980s. Some of the films in which she gave commendable performances include ‘Gehrayee’, ‘Insaaf Ka Tarazu’, ‘Prem Rog’, ‘Pyar Jhukta Nahin’ and ‘Woh Saat Din’.

Shilpa Shirodkar

A successful actress of 1990s, Shilpa Shirodkar made her debut in 1989 with ‘Bhrashtachar’ in which she essayed the role of a blind girl. She went onto deliver a number of hit films like ‘Kishen Kanhaiya’, ‘Gopi Kishan’, ‘Mrityudand’, and ‘Khuda Gawah’.
