As we celebrate the most anticipated weddings of B-Town, here’s a look at some of the biggest Bollywood stars finding love of a lifetime and walking down the aisle to embrace matrimony.

Lara Dutta-Mahesh Bhupati

It was a confluence of Bollywood and sports when Former Miss Universe Lara Dutta exchanged vows with Indian tennis ace Mahesh Bhupati in an intimate Christian ceremony in scenic beauty of Goa on 20 February 2011. Lara and Mahesh were recently blessed with a baby girl on 20 January 2012.

Imran Khan-Avantika Malik

Bollywood chocolate boy actor Imran Khan tied the knot with his long time girlfriend Avantika Malik on 11th January 2011. The couple had a registered marriage at Imran’s uncle, Aamir Khan’s Pali Hill abode in Mumbai.

Shilpa Shetty-Raj Kundra

Bollywood actress and ‘Big Brother’ winner Shilpa Shetty married London-based businessman Raj Kundra in an intimate ceremony in Khandala, Mumbai on 22 November 2009. In December 2011, Shilpa confirmed that she is pregnant with her first child with Raj Kundra.

Sanjay Dutt-Manyata

Sanjay Dutt married Manyata at the Taj Exotica, Goa on 7 February, 2008, under the Special Marriage Act, 1954. It was the third wedding for Sanjay Dutt, who was earlier married to late Richa Sharma and model turned Art of Living instructor Rhea Pillai. In 2010, Sanjay and Manyata became proud parents of a boy and girl - Shahraan & Iqra. Sanjay also has a daughter with Richa – Trishala.

Abhishek Bachchan-Aishwarya Rai

The much awaited wedding of B-Town star Abhishek Bachchan and former Miss World and Bollywood actress Aishwarya Rai took place on 20 April 2007. A quiet and private affair, the Abhi-Aish wedding was attended by a select list of A-list Bollywood guests. On 16 November 2011, Abhishek and Aishwarya became the proud parents of a baby girl.

Aamir Khan-Kiran Rao

Bollywood’s Mr Perfectionist Aamir Khan fell in love with assistant director Kiran Rao on the sets of ‘Lagaan’ and married her under the Special Marriage Act, on 28 December 2005. Aamir’s wedding to Kiran was celebrated in a five star hotel in Panchgani, Maharashtra, which was attended by the who’s who of Bollywood. Aamir and Kiran underwent IVF-surrogacy and became proud parents of a baby boy (Azad) on 1 December 2011.

Karisma-Sanjay

Bollywood actress Karisma Kapoor, who was briefly engaged to Abhishek Bachchan, was on the top of her career when she married Delhi-based business man Sanjay Kapoor on 29 September 2003 in an elaborate Sikh wedding. The couple has two children – daughter Samaira and son Kiaan Raj Kapoor.

Akshay Kumar-Twinkle Khanna

After going around with Raveena Tandon for a while, Bollywood action hero Akshay Kumar bartered his Casanova image by embracing matrimony with co-star Twinkle Khanna on 17 January 2001. Akshay and Twinkle had a low-key wedding which was attended by immediate family and close family friends.

Hrithik Roshan-Suzanne Khan

Bollywood heartthrob Hrithik Roshan married childhood sweetheart Suzanne Khan in a Hindu-Muslim ceremony on 29 December 2000. The wedding was attended by seventy guests included Rishi Kapoor, Dimple Kapadia, Jeetandra and other B-Town A-listers. The couple have two sons, Hrehaan and Hridhaan.

Madhuri Dixit-Shriram Nene

Bollywood dhak dhak girl Madhuri Dixit tied the knot with Los Angeles based doctor Shriram Nene on 17 October 1999. The girl with a million dollar smile, Madhuri left her highflying career and married Shriram and moved to US. The couple has two sons and they recently relocated to Mumbai where Madhuri will soon start shooting for ‘Ishquiya’ sequel.
