B-Town Celebrates Diwali

Diwali – the ‘festival of lights’ is one of the biggest festivals of India, which celebrates the return of Lord Rama, along with Sita and Lakshmana from his 14-year exile and his victory over demon-king Ravana. Legend has it that people of Ayodhya lighted up the entire kingdom with diyas in order to celebrate the return of Lord Ram.

Bollywood has been successful in beautifully capturing the festive spirit of Diwali. A carrier of culture and harmony, Diwali brings together friends and families, who celebrate the festival of lights and share the gift of love, laughter and goodness with the commune. Here’s a look at how Bollywood celebrates Diwali – the victory of good over evil in various ways!
