Celebrating Holi, a la Stars!

crousel

How are our stars celebrating Holi?

When the entire country is donning the hues of celebration and exhilaration, how can our favourite who’s who from the Tinsel Town be left behind! The festival of colours, Holi, is that time of the year when one can afford to let go of themselves. Here’s how some of our much loved celebrities are ushering in Holi this year...

The festival of colours is one that needs to be spent with friends and family. Fun and frolic is what sets the mood for Holi. Celebrate the festival of joy with as much enthusiasm as you can, use as many colours as you want to – but make sure they are organic! Wishing everyone a very happy and fun-filled Holi!

Holi is a day when you can be what you want to be. It’s a time when you can let go of yourself, there’s a sense of celebration in the air. Holi, overall, is a festival of bliss, excitement, exuberance!

I don’t actually play with colours but I like applying a bit of colour as a shagun. Otherwise, I don’t like the concept much.

Holi is a fun festival and a nice excuse for everybody to get together and bond with your kith and kin. On this day nobody minds getting smeared with colours and it’s ok to get carried away – a little bit. Enjoy every bit of the day!

I play Holi every year without fail. I like this festival because it strengthens the bond of love between people.I wish all the readers a very colourful and happy Holi.

I’ve had real fun during Holi all the years that I was growing up... I’ve had my share of Holis! We had grand celebrations that lasted from the morning till the evening with people from our entire building coming together to celebrate the occasion. Holi has been very memorable all through the years.

I’ve never been philosophical about Holi but I believe that the festival breaks barriers between people from different walks of life. There are ways Holi makes people connect with each other in a way they might otherwise wouldn’t have been able to do. The festival is all about fun and enjoyment and it is a two way thing – one should think about their own enjoyment and give more importance to others’ sentiments too. The more you understand each other, the more Holi becomes a totally enjoyable affair!

Holi all along has been filled with fun for me. Earlier we usually followed the customary smearing the forehead with gulaal, the rituals and then moved out with friends to play. I feel people tend to go overboard with the Holi celebrations and the way it is played. I would only urge people to keep a safe distance from others and make sure that they don’t invade others’ spaces – and enjoy!

As a kid, I was majorly into Holi. The entire family got together and celebrated the festival. Over a period of time, Holi has become too messy. These days I attend the festival once in a while, but otherwise it’s mostly a day off for us. Holi is actually a great festival, one that is filled with fun and enjoyment. It was originally played with dry colours and sobriety but has become dirty over the years. I feel people should take care of their safety – Holi is one of the action-oriented outdoor festivals that we celebrate in India and safety should be the most important facet of it!
