A heroine`s life tale

More than a decade has passed ever since we saw the ever-glowing Kapoor girl – Kareena, mark her film debut in Bollywood, but her charm continues to grow manifolds. As she turns a year old on September 21, we celebrate the life and achievements of this young ‘heroine’ who has managed to rule commercial Hindi cinema steadily over the years.

Lineage

Coming from the first family of Hindi cinema – the Kapoor’s, Kareena has a pedigree to boast of. Yet, the girl has her head firmly on her shoulder, a simple and disarming nature and a twinkle in her pretty eyes that typifies her lineage. Born to Randhir and Babita Kapoor, Kareena says she is closest to her sister,Karisma and mum Babita.

Sister love

Bebo (Kareena) shares an unbreakable sibling bond with Lolo (Karisma) and the sisters enjoy their gossip sessions whenever they find time off their busy schedules. Kareena looks up to her elder sis as a fashion icon and completely follows the latter’s advice to the T.

Debut step

After backing-out from Rakesh Roshan’s ‘Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai’ co-starring Hrithik Roshan, Kareena entered filmdom with JP Dutta’s ‘Refugee’ in which she romanced Karisma’s ex-boyfriend Abhishek Bachchan. While the movie didn’t run for long at the Box Office, yet destiny picked up Kareena as a long runner in the race for success.

‘Ex’ tales

They clicked jab they met and then they shared an unbreakable relationship until things mysteriously fell apart in their love life. Yes, we are discussing Kareena’s shocking break up with Shahid Kapoor after dating him for almost 5 years. While everyone speculated Bebo’s mom’s (Babita) dislike for Shahid due to his lackluster career etcetera, the real reason still remains in the dark. However, Bebo and Sasha have buried their bitterness behind and are cordial whenever they bump into each other in public.

The ‘Saif’ route

When Kareena was spotted hanging out hand-in-hand with Saif Ali Khan, the news of her new-found-love went viral everywhere– from the gossip loving teenagers, to the headline-seeking newspapers. Unlike her relationship with Shahid, Kareena has never shied from proudly wearing her heart on her sleeve since the time she began seeing Saif. Also, it is believed that Saifeena have been living together under the same roof for quite a long time now.

Pataudi ties

Kareena shares a wonderful bond with Saif’s family and is loved by one and all for her endearing nature and ditto for the Pataudis. She is very fond of Saif’s mom Sharmila Tagore on her part, treats Kareena like her daughter.

A shoulder to cry

When Kareena came out to lend condolences to Saif’s family grieving the loss of Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi; her closeness to the royal family was evident in every picture captured by the shutterbugs during the funeral at the Pataudi Palace.

A fairytale marriage

In October 2012 Kareena draped herself in her mom-in-law’s bridal finery to take marital vows with Saif. From the pre-wedding cocktail bash to the reception dinner, everything was planned with utmost perfection.

Size zero sensation

The nation went into frenzy when Kareena Kapoor slimmed down from being plump to a bikini eligible actress as soon as the trailers of ‘Tashan’ hit the web. While everyone guessed an orange juice diet behind her slim frame, Bebo gave credits to a regular food intake and yoga for the hot bod she now flaunts.

Sexiest woman

In August 2012, a popular lifestyle magazine rated Kareena as India’s sexiest woman and going by her rising hotness quotient, we are not surprised. No doubt, when it comes to being the sexiest woman, Kareena fits the bill to a large extent.

Waxed up

When Madame Tussauds Museum in Blackpool (England) recently placed Kareena’s wax statue inside its premises, it added another medal of achievement to the actress’s sleek shoulders. A beaming Bebo unveiled the statue in a beautiful embellished Manish Malhotra sari.
