Onscreen Superheroes

crousel

Batman – Christian Bale

Hollywood actor Christian Bale embodies the role of Batman with much precision than most of his other predecessors like Micheal Keaton, Val Kilmer and George Clooney. Though the major credit to form and remodel the superhero goes to talented director Christopher Nolan, Bale through his act proves that he is downright perfect to play the role of world’s most intriguing superhero. Essaying Batman who employs more brain than brawn to defeat his superpower villains, Christian Bale gets into the character of the superhero very effectively. It’s a treat to watch him in films like ‘Batman Begins’, The Dark Knight’ and ‘The Dark Knight Rises’. Bale surely resurrects Batman on screen like never before.

Spiderman – Tobey Maguire

Superheroes mostly play double role in their lives - one as a regular, ordinary human being and other as the savior of mankind. It’s the former role that people relate to most. And the lack of pretention with which Tobey Maguire portrays the alter ego of Spiderman - Peter Parker, is simply unmatched onscreen. His affable boy-next-door image struck the right chord with the audience as much as his masked avatar as the protector of the city.

crousel

Superman – Christopher Reeve

Hollywood veteran Christopher Reeves revolutionized the progression of superhero movies in cinema. After the release of ‘Superman’ in 1978 Christopher Reeve became an instant star on the basis of his first major movie role, that of Clark Kent/Superman. Reeves personality suited just perfect for the role of Superman.

crousel

Iron Man - Robert Downey Jr.

Robert Downey, Jr. as Tony Stark, an industrialist and master engineer builds a powered exoskeleton and becomes the technologically advanced superhero ‘Iron Man’. Downey Jr. plays the role of this ‘little egoistic’ superhero with flair. We have to give it to the actor for getting into the mould of ‘Iron Man’, who is a dreaded weapon of mass destruction among the evil terrorists of the world.

crousel

Krrish – Hrithik Roshan

Krrish is an Indian superhero played brilliantly by actor Hrithik Roshan. The powers of Krrish are the byproducts of his dad’s encounter with specie of the outer world. Hrithik Roshan as Krrish enjoys a massive fan following among kids as he wields his extraordinary power and skills to thrash bad guys to pulp.

crousel

Hulk – Edward Norton

Hulk is another interesting superhero. The green monster reprised by actors like Eric Bana and Mark Ruffalo on the big screen has been creditable, but it was the intensity of actor Edward Norton whose variance with the devil inside Dr. Bruce Banner that stood out the most.

crousel

Captain America – Chris Evans

Hollywood actor Chris Evans has come a long way from playing the Human Torch to Captain America. Even though in the avatar of the former he sizzled and had quite an amazing superpower, in the latter, the actor stands tall with not just the incredible power that he possesses but the values of serving his motherland unconditionally. And Chris Evans not once falters to pick the right sensibilities of Captain America.

crousel

Wolverine – Hugh Jackman

Every mutant from the X-Man family is unique but the character of Wolverine played by actor Hugh Jackman is rarest of the rare. Hugh, impeccably captures the mannerism of Wolverine imbibing qualities of superhero with élan. There is a slight air around Wolverine which Hugh very smartly portrays.

crousel

G.One – Shah Rukh Khan

The list wouldn’t have been complete without the inclusion of this newly born superhero - ‘G.One’ played by Bollywood megastar Shah Rukh Khan. G.One is basically a robot who has been built to counter the terror of a video game character gone rogue in real, Ra. One. Shah Rukh Khan is the only actor to have portrayed G.One and he instantly became a hit among kids, but going by the reviews, the actor needs to bring more aplomb in the character G.One for it to be called a superhero.
