The Lost Divas of Bollywood

crousel

Sridevi

Beautiful and gorgeous Sridevi has been the most established actress of the 80’s era. She has been the reigning queen of Bollywood in 80’s and early 90’s. She won many hearts in films such as ‘ Chaalbaaz’ , ‘Chandni’, ‘Mr. India’, ‘LAmhe’ to name a few. She resorted to take a backseat in her career once she got married to filmmaker Bonny Kapoor. Her last film was ‘Judaai’ in the year 1997 which won her many praises for her acting. Its been nearly 15 years now that we haven’t seen her on the silver screen. We wonder how long is she going to keep her fans waiting.

Dimple Kapadia

Gorgeous Dimple Kapadia was Raj Kapoor’s discovery and she started her career with the film ‘Bobby’ opposite Rishi Kapoor. Her curvaceous figure and vivacious looks marked her as one of the finest looking actresses right from the start. Dimple made a comeback in ‘Dil Chahta Hai’ in the year 2001 and was last seen playing Salman Khan’s mother in ‘Dabangg’ but we need the forgotten beauty to return to the silver screen in a role that satiates all her fans who are waiting to get ample glimpse of her.

crousel

Rekha

Timeless beauty Rekha has done over 180 films in her career over a span of 40 years. Until 90’s the diva was seen playing hot and seductive roles while all her contemporaries were busy playing roles of the mothers and aunts, Rekha stood to differ and played lead roles opposite young actors like Akshay Kumar. One of her roles, Maya in ‘Khiladiyon Ka Khiladi’ gave her a new sexy image. However since a long time she has not been seen in main stream Bollywood movies, her last role was in the film Krissh (2006). Her fans are anticipating to see her make a much awaited comeback soon.

crousel

Karisma Kapoor

The super hit actress of 90’s, Karisma Kapoor has been lost for way too long now. She was last seen in ‘Mere Jeevan Saathi’ in the year 2006. She has worked across different genres opposite the best actors in the industry like Shah Rukh Khan, Salman and Aamir. Turning point in her career was her film ‘Raja Hindustani’ opposite Aamir Khan in the year 1996 for which she even bagged the Filmfare Best Actress Award. There have been speculations of her comeback for a while now. However if the recent buzz is to be believed, we hear she has finally signed a thriller with Vikram Bhatt which is going to be a 3D film predictably to hit the theatres later this year or next year. Well, Lolo we are sure your fans are very excited to know that!

crousel

Sushmita Sen

The gorgeous ex Miss Universe, Sushmita Sen seems to be completely out of Bollywood movies at the moment. The bong beauty won the Miss Universe crown at the age of 18 in the year 1994 and she made her debut in Bollywood with ‘Dastak’ in 1996. Sush is the ultimate example of a beautiful woman but Bollywood filmmakers haven’t been able to do much justice at utilizing her talent. She not just needs a powerful comeback but her fans want to see her in a film that brings out the best of her talent and attributes. We absolutely love her style and confidence!

crousel

Madhuri Dixit

The ek-do-teen star is not just a true beauty but has a strong screen presence that leaves the audience spellbound. Madhuri Dixit made her comeback in ‘Ajaa Nachle’ (2007) but the film bombed at the Box Office. An excellent dancer and a terrific actor, the actor is not getting roles that can justify her talent. Maybe her comeback opposite Anil Kapoor is what can fulfil our dream and can be a double whammy!

crousel

Tabu

Tabu is one of the finest actresses of her time she has embarked her own standards by performing outstandingly in films like ‘Virasat’ , ‘Chandni Bar’, ‘Astitva’, ‘Maachis’ to name a few. She has been honoured with the National Award twice in her career and have always been the favourite amongst the critics. Tabu was last seen in the year 2007 in a film opposite Amitabh Bachchan. Her fans are long waiting to see her in a role that suits her dynamic acting skills. Well, we hope the filmmakers are listening!

crousel

Priety Zinta

The bubbly actress Priety Zinta has been missing in action for quiet some time now. She made her debut in 1996 opposite SRK in the film ‘Dil Se’. She has always been known for her young bubbly and chirpy girly roles in her films like ‘Dil Chahta Hai’, ‘Kya Kehna’, ‘Kal Ho Na Ho’. She was last seen in a substantial role in ‘Jhoom Barabar Jhoom’ opposite Abhishek Bachchan in 2007. The vivacious and magnetic actress needs to be casted in a film that goes with her happy-go-lucky-image, the one her fans have been long waiting to see her in.

crousel

Shilpa Shetty

Dusky beauty and business woman Shilpa Shetty made her debut in 1993 with ‘Baazigar’. The fans and industry saw her change not just in her looks but her style and dress sense and eventually she became one of the hottest actresses in Bollywood and a fashion icon. Shilpa has many hit movies listed in her film career however her bigger claim to fame was winning the Uk Big Brother in 2007. That established her as an international celebrity. She was last seen in ‘Dostana’ in 2008 where she scorched the screen in a hot dance number. Since she will always been known as an actress first and then as a businesswoman, her fans need to get the due dose of her in a Bollywood. Comeback to movies, Shilpa!

crousel

Kajol

Kajol has been country’s favourite actress for all the adorable characters she has played in her career be it Kiran or Simran. Every girl wanted to find her Raj and every boy has been looking for his Simran idolizing the unforgettable love story ‘DDLJ’. Kajol made a come back with Karan Johar’s ‘KANK’ and later with “MNIK’ (2010) opposite SRK. Her last film ‘We are family’ sank without a trace. We need her to make a comeback to mainstream cinema and we would like to see her onscreen more often.
