London: In an attempt to make your Valentine`s Day more romantic, a music-streaming website joined forces with a group of scientists and found that Adele`s `Make You Feel My Love` had the formula for the perfect love song.
According to the study, conducted by the site along with University of Groningen`s Jacob Jolij and Maureen Crowe, who worked on hit flick `The Boydguard`, Adele`s cover of the Bob Dylan classic has the right mix of sentimental lyrics, a slow tempo, a song played in a major key with a standard chord progression and a syncopated rhythm, the Daily Express reported.
Jolij said that there are two accents close together in the song, repeating every bar that creates the feel of a relaxed heartbeat, a sound everyone is familiar with, making it soothing and relaxing to hear.
The researchers also claimed that the formula was a tried and tested combination and the feeling of familiarity helps make the song memorable.
