London: Indian-origin food writer and stylist Ravinder Bhogal`s debut book `Cook in Boots` has won the Gourmand World Cookbook Award for the UK`s Best First Cookbook.

Ravinder, after winning the award, said "I am so delighted to have won this award as I am fully aware of how many excellent debut cookbooks were published this year."
"I am now honoured to attend the Cook Book Fair in Paris next year and just thrilled to compete for the title of the world’s best," she added.
The Gourmand World Cookbook Awards feature around 26,000 books from 136 countries.
Ravinder, who lives in South East London, is scheduled to release her second book next year.
