Zee Media Bureau/Parul SabherwalNew Delhi: The prestigious Kendra Sahitya Academy Awards were announced in Guwahati today. Eminent Odia author Jitendra Narayan Dash, fondly known as Dash Benhur will receive the Academy`s `Bal Puraskaar` this year. While, renowned poet Narendra Bhoi will be conferred with the `Yuva Puraskar 2014`.
Dash Benhur, who is widely respected for his immense contribution to children`s literature, has over 100 books to his credit, including several collections of short-stories. The 61-year-old author has been honoured with many awards, which include ‘Odisha Sahitya Akademi’ and ‘Odisha Bigyan Academy’ awards among few others.
