Odisha plans book on its cultural history
Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government, in collaboration with the state Sahitya Academy, would publish a book on the state`s cultural history in order to further highlight its rich art, culture and tradition, a minister said here today.

A decision in this regard was taken at an executive body meeting of the state council of culture, presided over by culture minister Maheswar Mohanty.

Steps would be taken for documentation and preservation of Arts and Culture of the state and a decision has been taken to organise the Bhubaneswar literary meet very year, Mohanty said.

It was learnt that fellowship would also be given to deserving scholars for the conservation of art and culture of the state.

ICCR regional director Minaskhy Mishra, Padmashree Priyambada Mohanty Hezmadi, state Sahitya Academy president Satakadi Hota, Lalita Kala Academy president Siva Panigrahi, Sangeet Natak Academy President Sarat Pujari and senior officials of the culture department attended the meeting.
