Navratri Special recipe: Vrat ka Halwa

Ingredients

1/2 cup singhare ka atta

1/2 cup kutta ka atta

3 tbsp ghee

6-7 sliced pistachios

2 cups water

1/2 cup sugar

2 crushed almonds

5-6 sliced almonds

Method

Heat ghee in a non-stick pan or any cooking vessel

Add the flour and stir it till it starts leaving a aroma and becomes a fine texture.

In the meanwhile add water in another pan and boil it

Add the cardamom powder, almonds and pistachios to the flour and setir for 1-2 minutes

Add the boiling sugar solution in a steady form continuously stirring so that lumps are not formed

Keep on stirring and cook till the mixture thickens well enough

While stirring break the lumps with any spoon

Remove from the pan and serve the vrat ka halwa
