Ingredients
10-12 pieces Fish
1 Cup Fresh Coconut
6 Shallots (chhota pyaaz)
1 tsp Ginger root
4 Green chilies
1 tsp Turmeric Powder
8 Fenugreek Seeds (methi)
1 tsp Chili Powder
1 sprig Curry Leave
5 Fish tamarind (Kudampuli)
1/2 Tomato
Salt
1 tbsp Oil
ProcedureMarinate the fish pieces with chilli powder and turmeric powder.
Heat the oil in pan, and add fenugreek seeds.
Fry the shallots and ginger in the oil.
Then fry the fish pieces for sometime
To it add paste of coconut, chillies, tomatoes and salt.
Pour water as required and bring it to a boil.
Add the soaked fish tamarind once the fish is cooked.
Then lower the flame and add curry leaves to the curry.
Coconut Fish Curry is ready to serve.
