Ingredients: 2 cups Long-grained Basmati rice
4 tbsp Ghee
5-6 Saffron strands mixed in 4 tsp lukewarm milk
200 gm Mixed Dry fruits- prunes, cashews, almonds, raisins or walnuts etc
1 tsp Amchur powder
2 tsp Biryani powder
Salt to taste
Procedure: 1.Cook the basmati rice with salt and drain out the excess water.
2.Sprinkle with half of the ghee and keep aside.
3.In the remaining ghee, add the dried fruits and fry over the low flam for couple of minutes. Keep aside the dried fruits.
4.Divide the rice mixture into three portion.
5.In one portion, mix the saffron with rice to give colour.
6.In the second portion, mix the biryani masala and the amchur powder.
7.In the third portion, add the dried fruits to the rice and mix.
8.In a baking dish place one third of the rice with the spices, then place one third of the saffron rice and one third of the dried fruit rice in three layers.
9.Preheat the oven at 100 degree C.
10.Cover the baking dish with a foil and heat for 8-10 minutes.
11.Serve piping hot.
