10 promising faces you recognize but can’t name

He had the audience in awe right from his first film, ‘Love, Sex aur Dhokha’. His performances in ‘Shaitan’ ‘Gangs of Wasseypur 2’ and ‘Talaash ‘ consolidated him as a very fine actor.
‘Kai Po Che’ proved to be a milestone film for Rajkumar and made him known among the masses. He is going to play the lead role in ‘Shahid’, a film based on the controversial life of social activist Shahid Azmi.

Saqib Saleem

Unlike any other name in this list, Saqib started his career with a leading role in Gen- Y fims’ ‘Mujhse fraaandship Karoge’. He played a Punjabi lad in 2013 comedy ‘Mere Dad ki Maruti’.

His daring portrayal of a homo-sexual man in ‘Bombay Talkies’ won him many praises. Next he is going to be seen in Amol Palekar’s ‘Hawaa Hawaai’.

Namit Das

Acting in TV shows, commercials and plays since 2002-03, Namit Das left a mark on viewer’s minds with his performance in Wake Up Sid, Where he played Rishi, Ranbir’s friend.

He later appeared in films like Nithya and Lafangey Parindey. His performance in ‘Ghanchakkar’ was also appreciated. He is to start shooting for Rajat Kapoor’s ‘Aankhon Dekhi’ and a film called Maya Vanilla and strawberries. Not many know that he is a trained singer as well.

Jaideep Ahlawat

Having started his bollywood journey with ‘Aakrosh’, Jaideep got noticed with his role of ‘Shahid Khan’ in the crime saga ‘Gangs of Wasseypur’.

In 2013, he appeared in negative characters in ‘Vishwaroop’ and ‘commando’. Currently shooting for ‘Vishwaroop 2’, Jaideep looks all set to give us a little more of his Himalayan figure in the coming years.

Pankaj Tripathi

Pankaj started his career in 2005 with ‘Apaharan’ . He played important roles in major films like Agneepath, Dabangg 2 and Fukrey. His role of ‘Sultan’ in the Wasseypur series won him many fans. His next major film is going to be Gunday, A Yashraj production.

Winning equal praise from the audience and the critics, this awe-inspiring actor has got a bright future in bollywood.

Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub

He entered bollywood with the critically acclaimed ‘No One Killed Jessica’ and went to play best friend to the lead actors in ‘Mere Brother Ki Dulhan’, ‘Jannat 2’ and ‘Raanjhana’.
His role of a Banarasi pandit in ‘Raanjhana’ generated highly positive reviews from all over. He wil next be seen in a film called ‘Maazii’.

Vineet Kumar

Struggling in the film industry since almost a decade, Vineet finally caught the public eye with his sterling performance in the Wasseypur series.

Soon he appeared in ‘Bombay Talkies’ and got everyone talking about his acting prowess. With Dharma Productions’ `Gori tere pyaar mein` under his belt, this led is set to make it big in bollywood.

Gulshan Devaiah

A theatre product, Gulshan Devaiah first caught attention in the 2010 hit ‘Shaitan’. His negative role in ‘Hate Story’ was hailed as one of the few good things about the movie. Having worked under talented directors like Anurag Kashyap and Bejoy Nambiar, Gulshan will be seen playing a Gujarati character in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s much talked about ‘Ramleela’.

Swara Bhaskar

Swara made a suave entry into the movie – goers mind with her performance in ‘Tanu weds manu’. The role also won her the Zee Cine award for best female actor in a supporting role.

With her role of a Banarasi girl in ‘Raanjhana’, this beautiful lady not just won many hearts but yet again proved her acting prowess. Currently filming for Abbas Tyrewala’s ‘Mango; she is here to stay.

Richa Chadda

Having made her bollywood debut in 2008 with ‘Oye Lucky! Lucky oye’, she stormed into limelight with her fiery adaptation of ‘Nagma Khatoon’ in the ‘Wasseypur series. She won the filmfare award for best actress (critics) for the same role.

She appeared in 2013 comedy ‘Fukrey’ and was highly appreciated for her adaptation of ‘Bholi Punjaban’. With films like ‘Tamanchey’ and ‘Ramleela’ up her sleeve, this talented Punjabi girl has finally got busy in B-town.
