Audrey Hepburn (1929-1993)

Born on 4th of May 1929, as Audrey Kathleen Ruston, Audrey Hepburn was a legendary British actress who has left her footprints behind.

A fashion diva, an impeccable actress, and a humanitarian, Hepburn is considered a legendary face of the American cinema. Known for her natural beauty, she has an ocean of fan following. Known for making bold fashion statement like her iconic red lips, Audrey passed away on 20th of January 1993, due to appendical cancer.

Roman Holiday

Truly one of her finest film, which made Audrey Hepburn a star, `Roman Holiday` tells the story of a runaway princess `Anne` in Rome, who falls in love with an American reporter. Gregory Peck plays the role of the reporter as Joe Bradley, who spots the princess when she leaves her palace and hides in the back of a truck, to explore the city on her own.

The 1953 romantic comedy helmed by William Wyler ,won Hepburn an Academy Award for her exuberant performance.

Breakfast at Tiffany`s

This 1961 drama was directed by Blake Edwards starring Hepburn and George Peppard, was based on the novel by Truman Capote.

Hepburn plays the role of a young American socialite who is an eccentric and carefree girl and falls in love with a man who moves into her apartment building.

The song `Moon River` from the movie won the Best Original song and Best Original Score Academy Award.

My Fair Lady

The 1964 movie is a classical musical drama which is suited for all ages. Directed by George Cuckor, the plot revolves around the story of a proud linguistic professor portrayed by Henry Higgins, who takes Eliza Doolittle under his tutorship, from the slums, and tries to instil into her accent the grandeur and majesty of the English language.

The movie won 8 Academy Awards, including Best Director and Best picture.

Sabrina

Sabrina is a 1954 romantic comedy film helmed by Billy Wilder, adopted from the Samuel A. Taylor`s play Sabrina Fair, featuring Humphrey Bogart, Audrey Hepburn and William Holden.
A serial dater David Larrabee (William Holden), falls in love with the daughter of family`s chauffeur Sabrina (Hepburn) and the story unfolds from therein where David`s elder brother Linus (Humphrey Bogart) steps in.

War and Peace

The 1956 drama is an English film version of the novel `War and Peace` by Leo Tolstoy, directed by King Vidor. This can be considered one of Audrey Hepburn`s major breakthrough roles winning her critical accolades.

Apart from her the movie has an ensemble cast including Henry Fonda, Mel Ferrer and Anita Ekburg.
